Well, we did it. We had to supplement with formula. I was sick and not producing enough, and Gustav's teachers mentioned a couple of times that the bottles with breastmilk were not enough. I had to put my foot down with Gabe and tell him that the baby was starving!
So I went to Whole Foods and got the powdered organic soy formula. It was a disaster! I found out later that the more expensive ready-made formula mixed with breastmilk was the way to go. I tried it and it worked!
We're going to supplement with formula temporarily while I try to build up a frozen stash of breastmilk, and then we'll resume with 100% breastmilk. I'm already producing more with this pressure off!
