Milestones

We stopped using the duckie tub when we got back from Thailand. It makes us a little nervous that he's in the big tub, but he seems to like it. Our biggest problem is getting him to sit down!

We removed the mobile and bumper from his crib. When he's not sleeping, he's standing up in his crib. We didn't want the mobile to be a strangulation hazard and the bumper to be a prop for him to climb over the crib.

We introduced a sippy cup awhile back, but he doesn't seem to quite get the hang of it. He seems to prefer just drinking from a regular cup. We're also trying to figure out when to remove a bottle feeding now that he's eating more solids. However, he really loves his bottle so it may be tricky. Below are pictures of him trying, and loving, avocadoes.

They are already talking about transitioning him to the toddler room in August, when he'll be 10 months! In the other infant room there are babies who are over a year who haven't been transitioned yet, and here they are ready to send my little baby, who can't even walk yet, to the big kids room! He'll definitely be a little squirt among the big kids, but we certainly don't want to hold him back if he's emotionally and physically able to move up.
