Ellie is Paula's grandson. Since Paula is such a large part of our lives, we were happy to welcome Ellie and his mom Shelby (Paula's daughter) into our lives. We first met them at Goblins in the Garden.
It's good for Gustav to be around Ellie because at school he is the runt in terms of size and age. Here he gets to be the older kid and can teach Ellie a few things.
We celebrated his first birthday yesterday at Imagine It Children's Museum (will post later), but today is his real birthday. We didn't have a card for him so here is our birthday wish for him:

We hope you grow up strong and stay as joyful as you are now. Your smile lights up your face and your giggles tickle us. We hope you find out what makes you happy and that you work hard to find success. It doesn't matter what you do; just do it earnestly, joyfully, and with passion.
