Gabe asked me the other day if I remembered when Gustav would say "shawshage" for sausage. It made me think of some other things that I will miss:
- how he calls the balloon "balloony"
- how Greta says "mommy's", "daddy's", "mine's"
- [where's] Zak? Zak home.
- Gustav's "power" that unfortunately comes from bottles of saline, lotion, bodywash
- the sound of his quick scurrying
- that thump first thing in the morning when he jumps off his bed
- how Greta tucks both of her hands into herself when we carry her
- how she lies with her hands behind her back
- their laughs when they were babies
- Greta blowing Gustav a kiss and his winking back at her
- their bathing together and how much they love it
- how Greta calls Kana "NaNa"
- how she used to call Mema "MeMe"
- how Greta loves to stick her head between our legs like she is about to carry us on her shoulders
- Greta throwing her pacifier in the crib when we pick her up first thing in the morning and say "bye bye paci"
- how Gustav would get right into our face when he wanted to make a point
- how he would need to whisper the silliest things in our ears
