I think we are good at showing appreciation all year long but still participate in TAW. We've been fortunate to have functional PTO/PLO at the kids schools and I value all the work that they do on the schools' behalf so I fully support their efforts.
That's not to say that I don't grumble a bit when I have to go to 5 different stores to pick up giftcards for teachers, para-teachers, specials (art, media, PE, music), front office/nurse/counselor, kitchen staff.
I just remind myself that I no longer pay tuition for Gustav so this is the least I can do.
