According to Ms. Carter and Ms. Laporte, Greta is on target for everything. However, they noticed that she is so impatient sometimes to learn everything. She puts a lot of pressure on herself
They also had some concerns about the social aspect.
They said that when she first started, she was recognized for her leadership quality but lately she has been more of a follower, especially with her BFF, J.
J is the youngest in the class, yet she is so charismatic that all the kids love and follow her, including Greta. However, J can also be naughty such as when she tells Greta to throw sand at Gustav. I once asked Greta to spend time with some of the quieter kids in her class, and she interpreted that as me telling her that she cannot be J's friend. J's parents are great and J's older sister is actually in Gustav's class so we all friendly.
The teachers told me that they'll remind her that she knows what is right and wrong and that her parents didn't raise her like that, but she is so determined to impress Jane that her values go out the window.
I reserved a bunch of picture books on empathy for her in the library. It's funny because Gustav was like this in PreK too. The teachers told us that they'd like him to develop leadership qualities because they know our family values, but he was persuaded to make bad decisions around stronger willed children.
We know for certain that Greta and J. will be separated next year in kindergarten so there's that!
